| This watercolor
painting is new but already one of Jeff's most
favorites. "Why would you paint a barn",
he's been asked? Why not", is the reply?
"There are less and less barns standing each year
and the character of this barn, not to mention the history,
can speak volumes of a simpler, quieter time."
This barn is approximately two miles north of the
Edwards-Knox School in Russell, NY, just past what is
commonly called the "S" curve. The
reflections of the blue sky on the ground, the wagon
marks in the snow and the soft background of pines and
other trees add appeal to this old barn. The dark
hardwoods and wintry sky are common to St. Lawrence County in
early January, the month this picture was completed.
It is framed in a dark stained maple frame and matted
in a 16" x 20" format. The original is
$450.00 and 20 prints are available at $40.00 each plus S &
H. Framed and matted, prints are $125.00 plus S &
